I love this recipe so very much, it’s quick, easy and so simple to make. Just delicious and crunchy, the perfect topping on natural yoghurt.
Hope you give this recipe a try… once you do , I am sure that you will appreciate a taste of home, making it yourself is so much better than store-bought granola , not to mention cheaper in the long run!
- 50g mixed unsalted nuts, I used just hazelnuts.
- 50g seeds, you can use pumpkin , sunflower, sesame and flaxseeds.
- 150g rolled oats
- Olive oil
- runny honey
- 1 tbsp unsweetened shredded, dried or dessicated coconut , plus extra to serve, I used flaked coconut.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius, then reduce to 150 degrees celsius.Roughly chop nuts and seeds. Add to a large bowl with half the oats and drizzle about half a tablespoon of oil and honey, mix well. Spread out the granola evenly on a lined baking tray and roast for approximately 20 minutes or until nice and golden.
Now stir through the coconut. You could add coconut at the end , whilst granola is still in the oven , if you prefer the coconut to be nice and crisp!
Serve with plain yohurt and drizzle with honey.
